About Shanae

Shanae comes from a long line of musically talented people! She grew up around music, with many people in her family being gifted in multiple areas of music. From singing, to playing just about every instrument, there was always music around. Shanae began singing with her siblings as soon as she could talk. All of her siblings had great voices and have always sang. She sang a lot with her 2 sisters Taquela and Charee. She looked up to them and learned to sing greatly in part from singing with them.  Shanae's younger brother Eric can sing although he is shy she still loved hearing him sing when he would. Her brother Darren could sing and play just about any instrument he picked up and played from a very young age. He mainly played drums and guitar but leaned more toward the guitar and to his baby sister Shanae, noone could play better than him!  There was an incredible amount of talent all around Shanae as a child. Which inspired her to be the best she could.  As Shanae always loved to sing, she also played the Viola since the age of 11 and began playing piano at the age of 16. That is when she started writing her own songs. She recorded her first song with her sister at the age of 17.  Shanae dabbled some on the guitar with small lessons from her older brother but it wasn't until She was in her mid 20's that she really was able to pick up on the guitar with great help from her older brother. In her late 20's she picked up the drums. And while she could play some on these instruments, her main interest was playing piano and singing.  Music has always been a key part of Shanae's life . She hopes for those that thrive and survive through music never give up and follow their dreams.
